About the Club

A member-built course on the Mid West coast, welcoming golfers of all abilities since 1931.

About the club

A member-built course since 1931.

Dongara Golf Club sits on Golf Course Road, around 300 km north of
Perth, tucked between the twin towns of Dongara and Port Denison in
WA’s Mid West.

Established in 1931, the club began as a sand-green course. Over decades of
member effort the greens were reticulated and converted to grass, fairways
were cleared, and native Salmon gum and tuart trees were planted — shaping
the eighteen-hole layout enjoyed today.

The course & setting

Set between the twin towns and the sea

The course winds through mature native bush, with wide coastal views over
Dongara, Port Denison and out to the Indian Ocean. It’s a quiet, unhurried place
to play — a genuine hidden gem north of Perth.

The eighteen grass greens are fully reticulated and kept in excellent condition
year round by the members. Fairways are lined with Salmon gum and tuart, and
native water is used to keep the course green through the drier months.

Our values

A friendly club, run by its members

01

Welcoming to all

Members and visitors, seasoned players
and first-timers — everyone is welcome on
the course, every day of the week.

02

Member-built & run

As a not-for-profit club, every dollar goes
back into the course. It’s cared for and run
by the people who play it.

03

Respect for the course

Ninety years of work has shaped these
greens. We keep them in great shape and
ask everyone to do the same.

Volunteer-led community

Kept going by its volunteers

The club runs on the generosity of its members. Regular working bees, course care and behind-the-scenes help from volunteers keep green fees and membership affordable for everyone.
